The Alannah and Madeline Foundation (a Not For Profit organisation) was established in 1997 as a result of the Port Arthur tragedy where 35 adults and children lost their lives. Prime Minister Howard and Premier Bracks are Patrons of the Foundation.

The Foundation works on two fronts:

  1. Special crisis support for young Australians who are victims of violent crime or sudden family loss. Over 700 acts of violent crime against children occur every week.
  2. Innovative schools program delivering a very positive and effective anti-bullying anti-violence message. The program has the potential to change the culture within Australian Schools.

April 22: a night somewhat low on numbers, but high on content.  Rhys shared his passion; Martin had us playing with our heads and tails (not each other's fortunately) and a sobering insight into the blight of Landmines and the injuries they cause.  Stuart's scintillating Scribe Notes are proving somewhat elusive so, sit back relax and enjoy this lovely little diversion

The Rotary Liver Cell Bank is involved in raising funds for equipment at the new Stem Cell Therapy unit at the Royal Children's Hospital.

As part of this effort we will be holding a raffle of a rare football collectable of the Collingwood/Essendon drawn Anzac Day match in 1995.

The photo was taken from the MCC clock (recently demolished) and is signed by both coaches and captains of the day.
While the photo is of special interest to Essendon and Collingwood Members and Supporters it does have significance for those who appreciate special occasions such as the inaugural Anzac Day game!

Click here to view the photo in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. For tickets please call Vic Parsons on 9337 2282 or 0148 135 232 or email rotaryraffle@hotmail.com

Hope you win it !!!
