Last Week's Meeting

President Barbara - President's Wrap Up for
2007-2008

A conspicuous absence for the night was Wendy, who vowed to miss the meeting as it was her birthday that week, and she did not want a repeat of the multiple singing of “happy birthday” that occurred at the Worlds Biggest Garage Sale.  Not to be thwarted, Bobbi made a call to Wendy on her mobile, and present Rotarians and guests proceeded to sing happy birthday the high tech way.  A happy birthday to all those mentioned.

President Barbara reviewed the year of her presidency.  As it was revealed, we had a great year.  Some of the highlights and achievements were: ...

Young Achievement Australia (YAA) 2008

The Rotary Club of Southbank is, once again, supporting the mentoring of a group of students in the YAA program.

We are partnering with the RC Melbourne to fund and provide mentors for this very worthwhile youth development program.  This is an important project for our Club and we want to make sure that we are well represented with mentors.  The timeframe for the program has yet to be set, however it is anticipated that it will commence after Easter.

This year our YAA company will have a convenient meeting location, in the heart of the city, at:
The CASS Foundation
Level 2, 111 Collins Street

If you are interested in participating as a mentor,
please contact Gordon.

Please note:  all mentors will be required to have a
'Working with Children' card - see Gordon for details.

DG John Davis' Weekly Message

(Issue 47, 23 June 2008)

In our Strategic Plan 2007-2008 I did set some specific goals which I wanted to measure at the end of this Rotary year. ...
