Last Week's
Meeting
The meeting this week was
smaller than usual. We had had a few recent meetings which were
attended by large numbers of guests. This time we were almost on our
own.
Charles Dimmick took over
as Sergeant (pending the delayed arrival of Chris Trueman) and did
an excellent job getting proceedings underway. ...

"How is Your Public Speaking?"
Speaking in public is still regarded as one of our
top 10 fears in life. That is not surprising, because many who
try, get it so awfully wrong. When you look back over your
club meetings, assemblies, conferences and over the various
presentations you have attended in Rotary, ask yourself what made
those presentations successful. I suspect the answer will be that
the quality of the presentation was just as important as the
subject matter presented. The success of meetings, functions and
events, particularly in Rotary, can often be put down to the
speaker and his/ her presentation. ...
