DIRECTIONS FOR NORMAL MEETINGS

Booking: We have a friendly and active club and we welcome guests to come and visit us, whether you are just curious about Rotary or already thinking about joining a Rotary Club. There is no requirement of any prior knowledge of Rotary or Rotarians. However, for catering purposes, please let us know you are intending to visit us by emailing . This is also important for you as sometimes we change our meeting venue or meeting time. If you let us know you are coming, we can confirm the time and location of the meeting with you. The cost of a meeting is $30 which includes a meal and drinks.

Meeting Start Time. Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm. Meeting starts sharp at 6:30 pm.

Where and How to get there: Our normal meetings are held at the Garden Rooms (which is next to the Palladium), Level 1, Crown Tower Hotel (Queens Bridge end of the Crown Complex). There are two ways of getting there:

By Car: Once you're in the Crown car park, head to the Crown Tower Hotel end. The car park is colour and symbol coded. The closest car park entrance to the meeting is the gold entrance with the music symbol. Take the lift up to level 1 and head for the Palladium. Turn right from the lift-well and basically keep going to the end. On your way, you'll walk past the top of the black stairs on your left, the Conservatory restaurant on your right, then the JJ Bar and Grill on your left. If you keep going you'll see the top of some escalators. There are usually attendants at the top of the escalators and they will direct you to the right meeting room. See the linked map:

for the location of the Garden Rooms to the car park entrances.

On Foot: If you are getting there on foot, go to the Atrium on the ground floor, and find the big black staircase. Go to the top of the stairs then turn left, keep walking and there is usually an attendant there to direct you. You may also take the lifts from the hotel lobby to level one. Once you exit the lift, turn left and keep going to the other end of Level one. On your way, you'll walk past the top of the black stairs on your left, the Conservatory restaurant on your right, then the JJ Bar and Grill on your left. If you keep going you'll see the top of some escalators. There are usually attendants at the top of the escalators and they will direct you to the right meeting room.

The 2 lifts on the top right-hand corner of the map comes from the car park. The 6 lifts on the middle right-hand side of the map comes from the hotel lobby.

The Meeting: Between 6 pm and 6:30 pm, members and guests will arrive and will be mingling and having drinks. Everyone will then be directed to the buffet (dinner is provided). Once everyone is seated with their meal, the meeting begins with a toast, various speakers will be conducting the meeting and you can enjoy your meal whilst this is going on. As a guest of the Club, the only thing you're asked to do is to be upstanding for the toast at the beginning and enjoy yourself. There will be a "fines session" where members are 'fined' for various 'infringements'. The 'fines session' is a way of raising funds for the Club and guests are not generally expected to contribute. Our Club is fairly casual so you can just relax and enjoy the meeting.

Guest speaker: The meetings usually have a guest speaker presenting on a topic for about 15 minutes, followed by question time for about 5 minutes.

Finish Time: We aim to finish the meeting at 7:30 pm but sometimes it goes on for longer. In any case, it is unlikely to finish after 8 pm. If you need to leave before the meeting finishes, please do not hesitate to do so. Our guests and speakers are always welcome to attend our meetings again, just let us know by 10 am the day before the meeting that you wish to attend by emailing .
